Title refers to the orphan character, Ponyboy Curtis in the 1983 film called the Outsiders. Continuing on a body of stained and sewn paintings that center the themes of the orphan archetype, class and gender. My work looks at personal and cultural frameworks related to how we perceive and experience who we are specifically through the lens of painting as a cosmology. Our relationship to landscape, the earth and navigation is not dislocated from these ideas.
